Grooming Haul

This is Boston's pamper box I couldn't resist getting him this cute little box to keep all his grooming things in. So after getting nice and muddy after our big walk he is ready for his bath or shower should I say.

I definitely recommend getting these for bath time especially if like Boston your dog does not like the hair dryer. This super absorbent towel and drying mitten are from amazon and do an amazing job.

I like to wash Boston using this groom baby powder shampoo but I am excited to try some other dog shampoo's so if you have any suggestions let me know. After using it Boston smells amazing and we always get complimented on how soft and shiny his coat is.

For those  in between days I use these refresh sprays on Boston. This is what they use at the groomers as a finishing touch to make your dog smell extra good. I personally love the smell of baby powder so I got some baby fresh spray. I also got some dog 'dry shampoo' for when his fur is particularly in need of a freshen up.

These brushes with rubber nibs not only keep your dogs coat smooth but they also massage your dog. Boston does not enjoy being brushed so I use the mitten style brush.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this! Please let me know if there is anything I need to try!

Covated Collars

Every time we go to the pet store or any store that I know will have some form of pet related items I have to go look. Whether it's a toy for Bud or food for Boston I always have an excuse ready. The truth is, I just adore looking at all the cute collars and accessories. Sadly Bud hates collars with a passion but Boston now doesn't mind them. This means I am able to freely buy/look at all the adorable collars and bow ties out there!

Here is what I am currently lusting after:

Mutts & Hounds £49
Oh tweed how do I love thee, let me count the ways. I adore anything tweed if you hadn't guessed already. Boston already has a little matching tweed jacket and I have quite a few in my collection. There's something unmistakably British about oatmeal tweed which I love. This collar also has a lovely leather front and metal clasp to finish the English country gent look off.

Salt Dog Studios £15.99
Again one of my most favorite prints, paisley. This collar is  just beautiful and would suit any kind of dog. I love the earthy colors used making this print a lot more wearable with a vintage sixties element. This collar is lined with velvet making it nice and comfortable against your dogs skin. This collar is also useful for dogs who like to get dirty as they can be washed in the washing machine.

Love My Dog Ellesmere Harris Tweed £59
This collar is the epitome of luxury with it's beautiful monochrome hounds tooth print. The collar is handmade by a saddle maker and lined with the softest suede. This collar would definitely be for special occasions!

Mrs Bow Tie £34.99
How lovely is this little gingham red and white bow tie collar? It is as cute as a button and would dress up any pup on a summers day stroll! Made from 100% cotton this collar is both durable and breathable making it comfortable. You can also choose whether you would like a metal clasp or plastic buckle. As if it wasn't perfect enough there is a retractable lead that matches this collar!

Petiquette Collars £45

If you're planning a trip to the sea side anytime soon with your dog then a classic nautical collar cannot go amiss. This nautical blue and white anchor collar is made from Italian leather and comes in 23 different shades. There is also an option to add extra glam with real Swaovski crystal accents as shown.

Salt Dog Studios £15.99

If you want something a little quirkier than anchors, or are just a big supporter of Tilikum, then there's this beautiful Orca whale collar. The unique print will definitely gain admirers! Again this collar is machine washable so definitely beach durable.

I hope this post has got you lusting after collars too! If there are any you think are worth looking at please leave a comment or message me.

Puppy Haul

Boston is one very spoiled little puppy and I'm not afraid to admit it. He lives a very good life with Sam and myself and we often get him new little treats. Boston needs a lot of activities so that's my excuse for all the toys I have for him!

Danish Design Stag Bed £41
Bespoke Blanket Ebay Seller Cassells1983 £8.49

If any of you have seen my house you will know I have a small obsession with stag prints and stag designs. Our dining room especially has a very countryside cabin in the woods style to it with stag accents at every turn. So when I saw this beautiful bed at just for pets I had to have it! The teal and detailed stag design are just classic and I adore it.

When we first got Boston he had a grey stripe right down the center of his face but as he's gotten older it's disappeared. So when we got him I ordered one of these beautiful bespoke embroided  blankets. I absolutely adore this blanket and so does Boston! He runs around the house with it and it's perfect for him to snuggle up to on cold rainy days. If you're looking for a special gift for someone who has a dog or for your own dog I highly recommend going on Ebay and contacting Cassells1983.

All For Paws Elephant £7.99
All For Paws Bird £4.99

These adorable little plush toys for puppies are just so cute I had to stop myself buying the whole range! The range is called all for paws and I love how their toys look like cute baby toys. The elephant is plush with a medium sized crinkly square which Boston loves to play with. The little blue bird has a rattle inside which makes it a perfect toy for learning fetch. I got both of these from just for pets but you can find them online too.

Nylabone Puppy Kit £9.99
Boston was definitely teething when we first got him and is still a very nippy puppy who loves to chew everything, especially shoes. So we got him this little starter pack from Nylabone which appears to be the choice of chew toy. There were originally three bones, however one of them was edible and Boston has demolished it. They are all chicken flavor and various textures for example the white bone is a bit tougher and the brown bone is a bit softer. These can be really expensive in store so we got ours from Amazon for just £9.99. Whenever Boston tries to chew our hands or anything else we have one of these handy to give to him instead.

Kong £9.99
If you want or need a moments peace for example while you try and do the house work or get ready to go out I suggest you get a Kong. It's basically a rubber toy which you can stuff with any treats of your choice. The puppy or dog has to chew and squeeze the toy to get the treats out from the Kong which can take some time. I fill mine with cheddar cheese or peanut butter because Boston loves those things. You can also pop these in the fridge or freezer and fill them on hot days or to sooth your puppy's gums while they're teething.

Selection Of Rugby Balls Vary In Price
Sam is obsessed with rugby and he use to play before he really hurt his ankle so when we knew we'd be having a male dog the first thing he did was get some rugby balls. The rubber balls are squeeky and I have to say have lasted really well. Boston's favorite is the pink one he loves to chase it around the garden. The plush rugby ball has also lasted very well considering Boston has created tiny holes and ripped the stuffing out of most of his plush toys. I don't know how much they were but I do know you can find them at pets at home.

Organic Bedtime Biscuits £2.99
Rise & Shine Biscuits £2.99
We have a little routine every single day and I think these are the perfect little treats for Boston's routine. First thing in the morning Bud the cat is fed, she is the Queen of the household and it lets her know she is still just as loved and just as important as Bos is. While I prepare mine and Boston's breakfast I normally give Boston a few rise and shine biscuits. Occasionally he will have a little bit of decaf tea that has been diluted too. He really loves tea and I've heard there's dog tea around but I'm yet to try it with him. When it's time for bed we say goodnight and I leave him a few of these lovely night time biscuits. He really enjoys them as a bed time treat and they put my mind at ease that he won't be too hungry at night.

Flexi Lead £27
We bought a cheaper retractable lead to start Boston off  however he chewed right through the lead and made his great escape so we thought it was time to invest in another. Flexi lead is a great brand and really easy to use. The lead handle is rubber and plastic so it cushions your hand. Boston loves being off lead but because there are so many roads on the way to the fields he needs to be on a lead for most of the time. This is especially useful if you visit a park and are a bit unsure about other dogs. Also if you have two dogs this lead can split to accommodate another dog.

Wainwrights Duck £7
We bought Boston a mallard which has now been completely destroyed by him. When we first got him his mallard it was bigger than him but now he is much much bigger. Sam got Boston this Wainright's duck which is extremely durable and he loves playing tug of war with it.

I hope you've found this useful and enjoyed looking at a few of the things Boston has. I will do another post very soon about grooming Boston and what we do on a pamper day. If you have any advice on what Boston might like please comment below! You can follow Boston on instagram @thelifeandtimesofboston to see what we get up to daily.
